Donate an Artifact

Thank you for your interest in helping to preserve London and Middlesex County history.  Fanshawe Pioneer Village collects objects, photographs and printed material that contribute to the exploration and interpretation of the history of London and Middlesex County from 1820 to 1920.  The collection helps us to document, research, preserve, exhibit and interpret our history for all members of our community.

Like many museums, we have limited storage space, so we must be very selective in any new acquisitions to our collections.  In order to meet our collections’ mandate, artifacts and archival material must help tell the stories of life in London and Middlesex County.  Offers to donate will be assessed using the following criteria:

  • dates from between 1820 to 1920

  • used or made in London and/or Middlesex County

  • is complete and in reasonable condition

  • history of use and ownership is well documented

  • is not a duplication of objects already in the collection

  • directly relevant to current research, exhibition or interpretation programing

  • represents an aspect of London and/or Middlesex County history currently not represented in the collection

Do you have objects or archival material you would like Fanshawe Pioneer Village
to consider for donation to our collection?

Please contact our Collections Coordinator at collections2@fanshawepioneervillage.ca or 519-457-1296 x 824.
Please make sure to include photographs of items to be considered in your email.
