A Day in the Life
Grades 2, 3
**This program can be adapted to older grades studying daily life in the 1800s.
In the 1800s, the village was a busy and productive place. During this program students will experience the hard work expected of children and villagers in the past. Visit the log house, learn 19th century skills, watch an apprentice work, role-play in the one room school, and discover the importance of community. Students will learn about 19th century rural life in this region, while examining how life has changed over time.
Full Day Program - $16.00 per student
Program Schedule: 9:45 am Arrival & 1:30 pm Departure
Program Includes 6 learning stations delivered by our Museum Educators.
Learning stations vary depending on the Fall & Spring season. There are rain alternatives for some activities in the Spring.
Includes a short lunch break in middle of day.
Program Capacity: Up to 3 classes (Approximately 60-75 participants)
Chaperones and teachers are free.
