About the Heritage Village

We thank everyone that has come to the Village for our 64th season, and are excited to see you again for our 65th in May of 2024.

Fanshawe Pioneer Village’s Heritage Village is now closed for Daily Visits until May 18, 2024.

Access to Fanshawe Pioneer Village is through the Fanshawe Conservation Area at 1424 Clarke Rd. London On.

65th Regular Daily Visitor Season Hours & Information

During the Daily Visitor Season the Heritage Village and buildings are open for public visits Victoria Day Long Weekend to Thanksgiving Monday. 
Visit the Heritage Village to explore 19th century homes and buildings, watch demonstrations, and see history brought to life!

General Admission Rates

$12 for adults

$10 for seniors/ *NEW*students 17+ with Student Card

$7 for children 4 to 16 years old

Free for children 3 and under

*NEW* $35 Family Rate (2 Adults $ up to 3 Children)

*All admission rates include tax.

Visitor Services

Parking

  •  Free parking!

  • The large Visitor Parking lot located next to the Village. It can easily accommodate school buses and campers.

  • Accessible parking is located next to the Spriet Family Visitor Centre and Heritage Village Visitor Entrance/Tollgate.

  • A drop-off zone is located in front of the Heritage Village Entrance/tollgate for any drop-off or pick-up needs from the Village.

  • Fanshawe Pioneer Village is served by London-Para Transit.

Washrooms

  • The Village Washrooms are located near the entrance to the Village, behind the Village Hall building. 

  • Washrooms have accessible stalls, as well as change tables.

  • If you require access to an adult size change table please ask our Visitor Entrance/Tollgate staff.

Denfield General Store & Gift Shop

  •   During your visit stop in at Denfield General Store for treats, refreshments, local products, hand-made gifts, and souvenirs.

Best Places to see in London

Food & Drinks

  • Outside food and drink are allowed into Fanshawe Pioneer Village and we encourage visitors to bring a pre-packed picnic lunch.  (No alcohol)

    • Please note: food and drink are not permitted inside the Heritage buildings.

  • Picnic tables are available around the Village on a first come basis. 

    • Please make sure to clean-up after yourself.

    • We do not have a covered eating area.

  • Denfield General Store sells snacks, drinks, and cold treats.

  • We have a water bottle refill station located beside our washrooms in the Heritage Village.

Please note:

Smoking of any kind, including vaping, is prohibited inside the Heritage Village.  Please ask the Visitor Entrance/Tollgate attendant where to go.

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is inside a conservation area, and as such we need to do our part to protect the wildlife around us. Certain items, such as balloons, confetti and rice, can pose a threat to nature, and are not permitted on site.

Note: Some GPS’s will use our mailing address, 2609 Fanshawe Park Rd to direct visitors, this will NOT lead to the Heritage Village

Directions

  • Fanshawe Pioneer Village is located inside Fanshawe Conservation Area in London, Ontario.

  • Enter at 1424 Clarke Road. Located at the Veterans Memorial Parkway and Clarke Road Intersection. (There is a sign that says Upper Thames River Conservation Area.)

  • Upon entering Fanshawe Conservation Area please let the Conservation Area tollgate attendant know you are visiting Fanshawe Pioneer Village and they will direct you to the museum. Follow the Directional Signs through the conservation area to the Village.

  • Enter 1424 Clarke Road into your GPS or use it as your destination when creating a Google Map. (Make sure to use this address and not our mailing address.)
