Help us get the Village ready for Spring!

Date: Saturday, April 26th, 2026

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Bring your gloves, rakes, friends and family as we get the Village grounds and buildings ready for Spring in this community volunteer event!

We will be raking, weeding, collecting fallen branches, window washing and more. Tasks will be given out by staff members.

This is a great opportunity for students to get volunteer hours and for anyone to be introduced to our volunteer program! All are welcome!

A hot dog barbecue will be held during the day in appreciation of those who have come out.

Tips for This Event:

  • Dress for the weather.

  • If you’re a high school student looking for volunteer hours, please bring your volunteer sheet for staff to sign.

  • You’re welcome to bring your own gardening gloves and tools. We will have limited items available on a first-come-first-served basis.

  • Leashed pets are welcome (please remember to bring your doggy bags!)

  • Enter at 1424 Clarke Road through the Fanshawe Conservation Area Entrance (Veterans Memorial & Clarke Road Intersection). Learn more about getting here and parking on our Planning Your Visit webpage.

  • Follow the directional signage to the Village Hall inside the Heritage Village to start your day.

Please register for this event and indicate any dietary needs for the barbecue by emailing: collections2@fanshawepioneervillage.ca
