This isn’t a haunted house… it’s a haunted Village! Guests follow a frightful walking route through the Village and experience 5 buildings transformed into scenes straight from their darkest nightmares!
Warning: Gory and graphic scenes, jump scares, scare actors, tight spaces, flashing lights, and loud sounds.
Age Guidelines:
This is a 14+ Halloween Horror Event and is NOT an event for children.
It is a frightening haunted house experience with scenes of violence, gore and graphic content intended for a mature audience. We strongly recommend youth 14+ are accompanied by an adult.
DAYLIGHT Return to the Abandoned Village:
Experience Return to the Abandoned Village in the daylight, with no scare performers and no strobe lights. Please note, this is NOT a family event, and still a 14+ experience - as all gory decorations, horror and graphic imagery are still present.
DAYLIGHT Return to the Abandoned Village will only be offered on specific afternoons. Check back later for ticket details.
Walk-Up Information:
For each day of the Return to the Abandoned Village event, we will indicate if there are walk-up tickets available for that specific evening at 5:00pm.
Walk-up tickets are not guaranteed for every night. Advance purchase is strongly recommended as many nights sell out.
Walk-up tickets cannot be purchased until the designated walk-up time. Do not arrive before the available time slot.
For walk-up tickets, exact cash, as well as debit/credit will be available.
Please let the registration person know you are looking to purchase walk-up tickets, and they will direct you to the box office location.

Your ticket will have an arrival time (ex. 8:00). Please arrive at Fanshawe Pioneer Village at this time. When you arrive, you will be put in a queue based on your ticketed time to enter the Abandoned Village. Arriving a little before your ticketed time is also acceptable.
Entry into the Village can be expected within 30 minutes of your ticketed time. For example, an 8:00 arrival could mean entry into the event at 8:20.
Late arrivals (later than 30 minutes after your scheduled ticket time), are not guaranteed entry.

This event has gory and graphic scenes, jump scares, scare actors, very tight spaces, flashing lights and loud sounds.
It is an outdoor event that takes place on gravel and uneven pathways, through forested areas, and over grass as you travel around the Heritage Village at night. There are also periods of standing in queues. The length of the walk (once inside) is approximately 1/2 km.
Come dressed for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Support Person: A complimentary ticket for the event is available for workers or a family member supporting someone with a disability. When checking in at the event with the ticketholder you are supporting, please identify as their support person.
There are accessible routes through the haunted houses to accommodate walkers and standard-size wheelchairs. Please identify that you need an accessible route when you check in so you can be guided there by our staff when you enter the event.
Service Animals: We are committed to accessibility and respect the rights of individuals with disabilities to be accompanied by service animals. However, we also want to let handlers know for the safety of their service animal that this is an extremely sensory event, and includes sudden loud noises, ground- and knee-level compressed air blasts, strobe lighting, fog effects, scare actors and confined spaces. If you plan to attend with a service animal, please contact us in advance. We are happy to discuss accommodations and ensure your experience is safe for both you and your companion. DAYLIGHT Return to the Abandoned Village is also offered on select afternoons. These event times do NOT include jump scare actors, strobe lights, fog effects, or air blasts, and have reduced sound levels, which may provide a less stressful working experience for service animals.

Entry to the event is staggered to allow for a scarier experience and to help keep the event flowing in the Village.
Large groups will be asked to split into smaller units of 4 people as they travel through the Village and enter the haunt buildings. This spacing allows for a truly terrifying experience.
When purchasing tickets, the maximum number of tickets per order is 10. Buyers must complete payment for their initial reservation (up to 10 tickets) before they can purchase additional tickets.

Return to the Abandoned Village is a 14+ event, allowing for true terrors! This is a very frightening haunted house experience, with graphic images and horror. Youth under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
This is NOT an event for children.

You are welcome to wear your own costume as long as it does not impair your vision and you can safely walk in it. Please remember you are moving through dimly lit spaces with uneven ground in October weather.
Please keep all costume weapons and props at home.

There are no refunds for purchased tickets. There is no ticket transfer availability.
The event will proceed rain, shine, or moonlight. No rain-checks will be provided.

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is located inside the Fanshawe Conservation Area. There is no public transportation to this location, as it is not on a City bus route.
There is free parking onsite.
Driving directions:
Enter Fanshawe Conservation Area at 1424 Clarke Road, London, Ontario (the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Clarke Road).
At the traffic light, take the road marked “Upper Thames River Conservation - No Exit”.
Once inside the Conservation Area, follow the directional signage to reach Fanshawe Pioneer Village.
Please notify us in advance if you are bringing a large group on a bus.
If you need accessible parking and have a permit, please let the parking attendant know, and they will direct you to the accessible parking area.
