Overview:
Celebrate Thanksgiving and the end of our 67th Season with a visit to Fanshawe Pioneer Village!
Explore 20+ Heritage Buildings and learn the history of Middlesex County from costumed historical interpreters. Celebrate the bounties of the autumn harvest with food history, demonstrations and thematic kids crafts.
Don’t forget to meet us at the Gazebo at 2:00 p.m. for music and Indigenous cultural teachings with Andria Dyer!
“Andria is a member of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. She is a cultural teacher that partners with many school boards and businesses. She is a Pow wow dancer, drummer, singer and creates traditional clothing, regalia and beadwork.
Andria presents her love of dance and culture across many of our surrounding communities. Growing up wasn't easy for Andria and she shares her stories, teachings, struggles and triumphs.
She continues to inspire individuals with her devotion, love, and expression of her spirituality by using her gifts of dancing, singing, and drumming.”
