Virtual Town Hall

A discussion with the community on potentially relocating the Fugitive Slave Chapel to Fanshawe Pioneer Village.

Fanshawe Pioneer Village was recently offered the Fugitive Slave Chapel building by its current owners, the British Methodist Episcopal Church.  As part of the decision-making process, the Village wants to hear from the community if this is a project they would support.

A community virtual townhall will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, September 1st at 7pm, supported by Huron University College’s Community History Centre.

Anyone wishing to attend, can register in advance through the following link: https://westernuniversity.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwucO6uqDgiH9a_QaKwuNzNHhcCLLCzsQl0

  • After registering, a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting will be sent.

Technology Accessibility Note: To provide a community input option for individuals who have technology barriers, and cannot join virtually or by phone, a drop-by table will be accessible at the Covent Garden Market between 9am-12pm, Saturday September 4th, 2021..
